Wednesday 19 th July
The cars left Bucarest very early this morning around 05.30 out of bed. The police had planned to escort us all the way to the Bulgarian border, but the were not there. Probably to early for them! But later they came.
Before the Bulgarian border the cars had to be cleaned by driving though a disinfection basin. After that the equipes have meet the former Eastblock regulations. They have to go from one officer to the other.
In Turkey we drive mostly on motorways and the only notable thing is that all gas stations are closed since we crossed the border. Not a good sign because a lot of the cars are heavy consumers of fuel. So in the end of the day the Bentley equipe ran out of fuel, but fortunately team 29 was just behind them and they gave them a spare jerrycan with 20 liters. Tomorrow the first rest day.
